Gabrielle, Portrait 2009
Approach
With every portrait photograph I take, I strive to capture the person's true character and their most authentic self. Whether the subject is a baby or a professional, i work hard at bringing their true essence into the photo.
As you can probably surmise, I am not your typical head-and-shoulders portrait photographer. I shoot everything on location (preferably your location, be it your home, your office or your backyard) utilizing as much natural light as possible.
I love candid shots and take a photo-journalistic approach during much of the photo shoot, especially when shooting little ones. However I will also guide you through more formal (and informal) poses to help achieve the portrait you want.
What you can expect
Most on location shoots last two hours (unless otherwise arranged) and are done at your location (your home, your office, your backyard or another place of your choice). I utilize as much natural light as possible and aim for the most flattering (or dramatic, if appropriate) light.
During the typical shoot I'll take 500 digital photos or more. I strive to get to know you individually during the shoot and set up shots that will most reflect your personality and/or the image you want to project.
Once the shoot is concluded, you will receive a link to the best photos of the shoot for you to review. From this link you will be able to order prints at any size you want (wallets up to 24" x 36"). All photos are printed on archival paper and suitable for matting and framing.
