Today was the first day of my photography class at the Evanston Art Center. I was so excited. Our assignment for the day was to focus on color. This may sound easy however we spent an hour shooting around the art center which is surrounded by lots of trees and lots of green. Finding color was a little challenging. Here are some of my favorite pics from the day.

This is the Evanston Art Center. It's a pretty cool building right on Lake Michigan (just north of Northwestern University).

I know this one doesn't have much color but I love this little atrium.

Today was also our third wedding anniversary. Kurt and I cruised down to the beach to take in the waves which were HUGE!! After some deliberating, we decided to go for a swim. We had so much fun with all the crashing waves. The air was a bit chilly but the water was warm - warmer than it's been all summer.
